St. John of Damascus Church (first) is consecrated.

It is located in a converted house at 68 Hudson Street. The congregation was founded in 1907 and met initially in rented rooms at the corner of Kneeland Street and Tyler Street. Rev. Alexandros Atalla is the first pastor. The congregation moves to a new building (second) on Museum Road in 1956.*
